Consumer
Product/Paint and Coatings Testing
ECA performs
EPA Method 24 for the analysis of volatile organic compounds in
paints and coatings and printing inks. EPA Method 24 uses ASTM
procedures for volatile matter content, water content, density,
volume solids, and weight solids of surface coatings and printing
inks. We also use CARB Method 310 to analyze for volatile organic
compounds in consumer products. CARB Method 310 is primarily used
to assess the amount of volatile organic compounds in antiperspirant,
deodorants, and aerosol coating products. This test involves the
measurement of VOC’s and moisture, with the addition of ammonium
ion, propellants, acetone, and alcohols when required. Please contact
us with your testing requirements. |
