Water
and Wastewater Analysis
Expert Chemical
Analysis uses water analysis methods that conform to the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA), or Standard Methods for Examination of
Water and Wastewater (APHA). Other methods may be utilized upon
customer’s request of where special conditions exist.

Notes:
- Materials
more radioactive than natural Th and natural U will not be analyzed.
- Cs and I are
difficult to analyze by ICP or GFAA. Alternate methods may be
used.

Individual
Organic Compounds in Waters and Wastewater:
ECA performs
primarily specialty organic analysis in water and wastewater. using
modified EPA methods or methods developed specifically for the
analytes in question. Note: As part of our expansion, ECA
is in the process of becoming certified in volatile and semivolatile
organic analysis of water and wastewater. We expect to be finished
with this process in the early part of 2004.
Some tests we
currently perform are mentioned below:
- Ethylene
Glycol in Water or Wastewater/GC-FID
- Propylene
Glycol in Water or Wastewater/GC-FID
- Dimethylformamide
in Water or Wastewater/GC-FID/GC-MS
- Formaldehyde
in Water or Wastewater/HPLC/UV-Vis
- Sulfolane
in Water/GC-MS
- Triethylamine
and Pyridine in Water/GC-FID
- Many
other examples available, please call with your requirements.
